     This American Heart Association (AHA) course is designed to prepare students to provide First Aid, CPR and AED use. 2-year certification at completion.

Skills Session

Heartsaver ® Skills Session

 If you are seeking the HeartSaver (First Aid, CPR, AED/ Pediatric first Aid, CPR, AED/ CPR AED/ First Aid) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and are looking for a substitute to the classroom course. 1st Action CPR offers the Heartsaver ® skills session that is the final part of a 2-part process to become certified.

What to expect when you attend your skills session appointment :

• Present your Hearsaver certificate of completion
• Practice the following skills for adult and infant:
  • Chest compression
  • Pocket mask ventilation
  • Bag mask ventilation
  • Use of AED
  • Personal safety and PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • First aid
  • Injury emergencies
  • Use of an Epi-Pen
  • Environmental emergencies
    • Animal/insect bites
    • Stings
• Practice skills in sequence as a single rescuer and also as part of a 2-rescuer team
• Be tested on your skills using the skills testing check off list
• Conclude session and receive your American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver ® certification card which is valid for 2 years.
