Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills Session

     If you are seeking Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and are looking for a substitute to the classroom course. 1st Action CPR offers the BLS skills session that is the final part of a 3-part process to become certified.

What to expect when you attend your skills session appointment :

  1. Present your HeartCode BLS certificate of completion
  2. Practice the following skills for adult and infant BLS:
    • Chest compression
    • Pocket mask ventilation
    • Bag mask ventilation
    • Use of AED
  3. Practice skills in sequence as a single rescuer and also as part of a 2-rescuer team
  4. Be tested on your skills using the skills testing check off list below
  5.  Conclude session and receive your American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification card which is valid for 2 years
